Mouseover Upcoming Event View for Tray Icon

Description

Awesync provides a task bar tray icon for easy interaction with the product while it is dormant, as well as feedback while it is active. It has access to calendar data, and should be made to not only support the active synchronization of content between them, but the active portrayal of the event sequence to the users in the form of a task/event list, providing visual indication to the user of what is upcoming in their day/week/month when the roll the mouse cursor over the tray icon.

Rather than providing simple "Awesync" product name when a user mouses over the taskbar tray icon, it would be great to provide the output from the last sync, in the form of a next X events table, where X is user configurable object to include only some number (user selectable to a reasonable limit ) of calendar items. Presumably the sync'd calendar would be included, but a user may also choose to include non-sync'd calendars, as the app has access to both sides of Google and Notes. It would also be useful to select or skin how they are displayed. It would also be extermely useful to provide a pop-up notification from this task tray icon with a Notes DOCLINK for Notes originated objects, and an HTTPS event link for gCal originated events. If two way sync with both cals is enabled, the user should be asked to select which one is used to draw the element list.

It should also be possible to select changes in icon display when a meeting is occuring or about to occur, with user defined time elements for each trigger. Blink with yellow icon if a calendar event from specified calendar will begin within 15 minutes, blink with red if within 5 minutes, or something to that effect.

This would increase my productivity, as well as provide a means for item notification when I am outside of Notes and may have my sound off. The availabily and visibility of the tray icon greatly improves my chances of seeing when a meeting is upcoming.

As much as I dislike Lotus Notes and like gMail, this product makes them both coexist very well. Thank you for creating and maintaining it. I would just like to see it do more for me while it is running in the background.

Note: I will provide a sample visual mockup of the interfaces in the next few days.

Thanks for the proposal. Currently we are concentrated only on synchronization functionality. Further plans are to sync tasks and contacts. Maybe later we'll think of notifications about events, but I can't answer when.
