We are happy to announce that we've implemented a web service allowing Awesync.Mail to work with HTTP proxy. After sync'ing mail from Notes to Google, further Lotus Notes iPhone and Lotus Notes Android sync is possible. To enable HTTP proxy functionality in Awesync.Mail, after you select this option in settings you'll need to activate your Google account - you will be prompted about it in your browser and receive email notification from Google. The following address opens up in a new browser window: https://accounts.google.com/b/0/DisplayUnlockCaptcha and you'll need to click Continue button on the web page to allow Awesync.Mail to synchronize emails through our proxy service.
All connections are established via our intermediary HTTP/HTTPS server svc.awesync.com. Please note that we respect your privacy and, when svc.awesync.com is used, we never collect, keep or use any user information in any way. Our server always connects to imap.gmail.com using SSL. If your corporate proxy server allows HTTPS connections, try to use secure SSL connection to our web service. This can be configured in AweSync.Mail settings->Proxy settings->Use secure SSL connection.
Now we are finishing contacts sync. This feature will be included into AweSync.Mail in a month or so.
AweSync.Mail supports one-way synchronization of emails from Lotus Notes to Google, which can be used in its turn for Lotus Notes iPhone, Android, Windows Phone etc. mail sync. The tool preserves the structure of Lotus Notes mail folders: a special folder named "Lotus" is created in Gmail Inbox, and all messages from Notes Inbox folder are sync'ed into this folder. All subfolders of Lotus Notes Inbox are created as subfolders of "Lotus" folder in Google.
The option to synchronize unread marks and emails deletion from Google into Lotus Notes has been added. So now, when you work with Lotus Notes messages in Google and then get back to Lotus Notes, there is no need to read and delete emails already viewed and/or deleted in Google.
Text formatting, attachments and in-line images of Notes emails are preserved when synchronizing messages to Google.
Please note that the beta version is fully functional, but limited to 90 days trial period.
Windows, Linux and Mac versions of AweSync.Mail are available for download.
We encourage you to try AweSync.Mail beta and provide your valuable feedback right here in this blog post! Please let us know if you have any problems or feature requests. The beta can be downloaded here:

Note about proxy support.
As we already wrote here IMAP is the only way to implement email syncronization with Google with all necessary features. HTTP proxy support implementation isn't possible for IMAP protocol at all. There is no HTTP proxy servers which support IMAP.So, we had to implement not only HTTP proxy support in AweSync.Mail but also HTTP/HTTPS intermediate service which will receive HTTPS requests from AweSync.Mail (through your corporate HTTP proxy), transfer the requests to Google IMAP servers and return answers to AweSync.Mail.
